Born and raised in San Bernardino, CA; Richard Blacksher discovered a passion for music at the age of 7 when he began writing and recording songs through the guidance of his uncles. Hobbies quickly grew to profession as Richard was contracted as a church pianist by the age of 12. By 16, Richard was well established within his community as a writer, producer, rapper, composer, and pianist.

Richard Blacksher's personal accolades include awards for poetry, screenwriting, and film composition. He has written, produced, and worked for artists such as Moses Sumney, Sarah Hollins, Rudy Francisco, and many others. Currently Richard is the keys player and a writer for the musical collective Midnight Snack based out of Anaheim, CA.

Richard is trained in Music Theory & Composition by Dr. Glenn Pickett and Creative Writing by Jennifer Tronti. He holds a B.A. in English from California Baptist University and an M.A. in English Education from Western Governors University.
